Organic and Sustainable Agriculture

Here at TabbyCo Farm we raise all our animals on grass and return the “fertilizer” back to the soil to grow our produce without the use of any chemicals.  Some call this organic farming but we just like thinking of it as grass farming since our main crop and feed and fertilizer all come from grass and organic material this is better known as sustainable agriculture.  Our poultry are both free range and in chicken “tractors” but moved to fresh grass daily.  Our pigs, chickens, guineas, ducks, geese, sheep, goats and horses all roam the same pastures and are rotated between different pastures and gardens.  Our animals are trained to come into the barn at night for protection.  It is not uncommon to find pigs snuggled up beside a goat with a chicken sleeping on one of their backs.  Our animals get along with each other and are friendly with people.  Many of our animals even have names.
